Terms and Conditions for The Guest Card members
The Global Guest Card BV is the founder of the The Guest Card programme. The following Terms and Conditions are applicable to this programme. By using the The Guest Card, you agree to the Terms and Conditions and the application of the Terms and Conditions.
Definitions
The Cardholder is an expat (expatriate) or the partner and/or children of an expat, who is temporarily employed by an international organisation, embassy or an international company in The Netherlands, and who has subscribed to The Guest Card. The Company Participant can be any company or provider of a service, located in The Netherlands or its surroundings. The Guest Card Programme consists of: The Guest Card, The Guest Card website, The Guest Card weekly digital newsletter, special events for the Cardholder and publicity campaigns.
The Guest Card
Every expat who is a participant of the The Guest Card programme receives the The Guest Card. By showing the card to the Company Participants, the Cardholder will receive special discounts and/or services.
The Guest Card Website.
This website will be updated every week and contains information about company participants, special events, information about The Netherlands, useful tips and links. All of which can be found on www.theguestcard.nl.
Digital Newsletter.
Every Cardholder will receive a digital newsletter on a weekly basis. The newsletter can be used for promotional purposes. Special events can be organised by the Company Participants for The Guest Cardholders.
Publicity campaigns.
Publicity campaigns will be held in order to promote The Guest Card.
The Guest Card Emblem: This emblem will be used to identify a Company Participant of the The Guest Card programme.
2. These Terms and Conditions
are applicable to the The Guest Card programme and govern the relationship between the Cardholder of the The Guest Card programme and the founder of the The Guest Card programme: The Global GuestCard BV.
3. Subscription to the The Guest Card programme.
Expats can subscribe to the programme by way of an application form. The form can be found on the website of The Guest Card. The The Guest Card programme will offer Cardholders additional services, to which they can subscribe to by way of the application form. By subscribing to the programme, the participant agrees to all Terms and Conditions and the application of these terms and conditions.
4. Personal data.
Registration and administration of personal data will be administered in accordance with privacy legislation, governed by the Wet Bescherming Persoonsgegevens (Wbp). The personal data provided by Cardholders, will be stored in the The Guest Card database at The Global Guest Card BV. The Guest Card BV is the owner of this database and the sole party that will have access to the data. Database information will at no time be shared with any other parties. All personal information will be registered at the College Bescherming Persoonsgegevens in The Hague.
5. Goal of personal registration.
The Cardholder will provide The Global Guest Card BV with his/her personal data, by means of an application form. The data will be registered for purposes of market research, which will subsequently enable The Guest Card to better serve Cardholders.
6. The Guest Card.
There will be direct contact between the Cardholder and Company Participants by means of the The Guest Card. The The Guest Card is personal and not transferable. By showing The Guest Card to the Company Participant, the Cardholder will receive a special service or discount as previously organised by a Company Participant. All data will be stored in a database managed by The Guest Card.
7. Special services for Cardholders.
In order to participate in the The Guest Card programme, all Company Participants have agreed to provide each Cardholder with a special service and/or discount. The nature and validity of the offers will be determined by the Company Participants in agreement with The Guest Card. All special services and discounts will be published at www.theguestcard.nl. The Global Guest Card BV cannot be held responsible for any complaints concerning the services provided and the discounts offered by the company participants.
8. Responsibility regarding fraud.
The Global Guest Card BV cannot be held responsible for unauthorised use of The Guest Card. In the case of suspected fraud, The Global Guest Card BV reserves the right to end all special services and discounts made available through the The Guest Card programme.
9. The Guest Card website.
The website for The Guest Card will be updated on a weekly basis. It provides information about the Company Participants, about The Netherlands in general, will give tips, will be used for promotional purposes and provides useful information about other websites.
10. The Guest Newsletter.
Every Cardholder will have the opportunity to subscribe to a digital newsletter. The digital newsletter will be sent out once a week and will be used for promotional purposes as well as providing general information and tips.
11. The Guest Events.
Company Participants will have the opportunity to organise special events for The Guest Card Cardholders. The Cardholders are free to join these events. The Global Guest Card BV cannot be held responsible for any event which is not organised by The Global Guest Card BV.
12. Publicity campaigns.
The Guest Card BV will cooperate with Den Haag Marketing & Events to promote The Guest Card.
13. The HaGuest Card Logo.
A window logo will be used by the Company Participant in order to indicate their participation in the The Guest Card programme. The logo should be positioned in a visible place, in order for Cardholders to easily identify the Company Participant.
14. Selection procedure.
A special Selection Committee will oversee the selection process and review the product and/or services offered by each Company Participant interested in participating in the The Guest Card programme. A selection process has been put into place in order to meet the high standard of quality and service The Guest Card offers its Cardholders. This Committee will consist of representatives from organisations and companies where Cardholders are temporarily employed as well as representatives from the trade industry of The Netherlands.
15. Remarks and/or complaints.
In spite of the special attention we give to selecting Company Participants for participation in the The Guest Card programme (with the aid of a special Selection Committee), it could be possible that you are not satisfied with one of the services provided by one of the Company Participants. In any event of this we would appreciate your feedback and ask that you post your remarks and/or complaints in the comments forum specially provided for this purpose at www.theguestcard.nl. Additional remarks and/or complaints, can be posted through an online form at www.theguestcard.nl, or by post to: The Guest Card BV P.O. Box 43 2501 CA The Hague
16. Correspondence.
The Cardholders can communicate with The Global Guest Card BV, concerning the The Guest Card programme by way of an online form to be found at www.theguestcard.nl or by post to: The Global Guest Card BV P.O. Box 43 2501 CA The Hague The Global Guest Card BV will communicate with the Cardholders directly by email or by post to the most recent address of the Cardholder. The Global Guest Card BV cannot be held responsible for any incorrect addresses or correspondence. A change in address or any other personal information changes of importance to The Global Guest Card BV can be communicated via post or by e-mail to: welcome@thehaguestcard.nl at The Global Guest Card BV.
17. Loss or theft
In case of loss or theft of the The Guest Card, please inform The Global Guest Card BV at once . Contact details can be found in 'contact info'. The Cardholder will be provided with a new card by The Guest Card BV within 5 working days.
18. Terminating The Guest Card programme.
The Global Guest Card BV reserves the right to terminate the The Guest Card programme completely at any time.
19. Cancelling your membership.
The Cardholder can end his/her participation in the program at any given time, by means of a written request to terminate membership, which should be sent to The Global Guest Card BV. As soon as The Global Guest Card BV receives this request, the card will be cancelled. The Global Guest Card BV furthermore requests that Cardholder inform The Global Guest Card BV when leaving The Netherlands permanently, so that the individual card may be cancelled and personal data deleted from the database. The card remains the property of The Global Guest Card BV and therefore must be returned to The Global Guest Card BV after the termination.
20. To conclude.
The GlobalGuest Card BV reserves the right to change the Terms and Conditions of the programme at any given time. The Cardholder and Company Participants will be given prior notice of changes. After changes are made, the previous Terms and Conditions will become invalid. Any dissensions will be presented to a qualified judge in Amsterdam. Dutch law is applicable to these Terms and Conditions and the The Guest Card programme.
